CURRICULUM VITAE

Petros Arsenos was admitted to the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 1996 and graduated in 2002.

From 2003 to 2004, he completed his mandatory rural medical service in the villages of Palaioklissi and Fragko, Prefecture of Karditsa.

He obtained his specialty title in Cardiology in 2015, following two (2) years of training in Internal Medicine at the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine at Karditsa General Hospital and four (4) years of training in Clinical Cardiology at the Department of Cardiology at Sismanogleio Hospital in Athens, as well as in Interventional Cardiology at the Hemodynamic and Electrophysiology Laboratory of the 1st Department of Cardiology at the Hippokration University Hospital in Athens.

He was awarded his PhD title from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2014 and the title of FESC (Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology) in 2018, in recognition of his continuous research activity, which was consistently presented over several years at international conferences and focused on risk stratification for the prediction of Sudden Cardiac Death.

He conducted research and received training in Interventional Electrophysiology at the Electrophysiology Laboratory of the 1st University Department of Cardiology of the NKUA at Hippokration Hospital, Athens, performing a large number of electrophysiological studies as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantations.

He served as an NKUA Academic Fellow at the above laboratory for three (3) consecutive terms, from 2021 to 2024, participating in interventional procedures, the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivering presentations at multiple conferences, and contributing as a reviewer for international cardiology journals.

During the second half of 2024, he received training in Transophageal Echocardiogram (TOE) and advanced echocardiographic techniques at the Echocardiography Laboratory of the Department of Cardiology at Sismanogleio General Hospital of Attica.

He is a member of the Athens Medical Association, the General Medical Council, the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and other renowned international cardiology organizations.

In 2015, he founded and organized his Cardiology Practice in Avlonas, Attica.

In 2022, he founded and organized his Cardiology Practice in Nea Erythraia, Attica.
